A video connected to my great-grandmother's story

I chose a video about the Halley's Comet because this event was the one to change my great-grandmother's life forever. When the news of the Comet was being spread, she was preparing to travel to América, and because of all the complications she had with her departure she didn't pay attention to this. But she was later going to remember this all her life: when she was on the ship, Josefa and her sister heard some of the passengers discussed about the posibility that Halley's Comet was going to crash the Earth destroying it. Little by litte they started to feel scared but they would calm one another not letting the hysteria get to them. The day before the one that the event was supposed to happen, they were on deck, trying to forget what everyone was saying, when they saw a couple throw themselvs into the ocean. First, they thought they were just one crazy couple, but as minutes passed by, more passengers started to jump off deck, Josefa and Ana couldn't believe this and started to ask the others around them about what was happening. Only after they interrogated half of them a member of the crew told them that those people were commiting suicide in order to save themselvs from what was going to take place the day after that, but that they should not worry, because he didn't believe that they were all really going to die, and that they two should have got into their cabins. As a result of the happenings of that night only three quarters of the passengers arrived at América, the Halley Comet did not crash Earth and all those people that commited suicide were victim of panic and general hysteria. As a whole Josefa and her sister learned that what most of the people say wasn't always true, and that they should never let themselves be taken away by fears.
